I see you
Smell you
Your sweat of indulgent privilege
Unwashed by time
Repulsed I cringe
Nowhere to hide
Stale rancor I find
In the mirror I stare.
Stagnant role to wear
Your colour palette imposed
Shades of truth defined
Hidden in pride
Constructed context
Your roots have grown
Impregnating racial hyperbole.
More sinister You carnal soul!
You crossed land and sea in pursuit
Sovereign borders in disrespect
To find in time unwanted courtesy returned
Seekers of a better life
Betrayed they come
Bringing change
National identity declined.
White supremacy
Arrogance defined
You treacherous foe
What I hate most
Is your legacy entrenched
Colour coded consciousness
Always Rejection
Always the same
You awful brute
Always without shame!

Gosh, how thought provoking can you get!
I have to read this again and, again and …. I need to read it a few times.
Well done Robert!

Thank you Lex. May 2020 bring healing and restoration for all those many nations that come to our shores looking for a better life, only to find that xenophobia inflicts even more pain.

I appreciate your poetic ability, on analysis of what is communicated about white supremacy, I find a contrast of some sort. When they left to their countries to seek adventure in other countries they were already Christians which teaches LOVE, yet on riving in these coutries e.g Africa, they found people practising UBUNTU philophy, hence they lost their nationality. Very sad indeed.

Thank you Catherine. Pathology of superiority and inferiority are 2 sides of the same coin. They speak to a lack of an awareness of being truly loved in our created intent.

The pervasive ruthless greedy arrogance of colonisation haunts us. I feel your words.

Thank you Rob, the reference to colonialism while subtle is the genesis of deep rooted supremacy and ingrained superiority. As they colonized the world for a better life, the world is now colonizing them creating a crisis of identity and by extension fueling right wing nationalism.
